shaky steering

I drive a seat toledo. When I brake hard the steering wheel shakes from side to side quite vigorously. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Probably warped brake discs but get it checked asp as it might be worn/loose steering components.

discs definitely warped. brakes probably need a overhaul. pads will be knackered. not a huge job. dont believe any price from quick places

yeah its definately a problem with brakes,immediately take ur car to a garage.
