How do I change the main bean light to allow me to travel in France without dazzling the oncoming traffic.

I have looked in the manual - nothing!

I have asked the local ford dealer - no help!

Travelling tomorrow and now getting desparate

You can buy headlamp convertors at somewhere like Halfords and you stick them on the plastic headlamp cover.
if you go on le shuttle you can get these at the shops at the UK terminal. Ferries probably sell them too
Depends what car you have and type of headlamps, stickers on plastic headlights will melt the plastic because of the heat from the bulbs.
if its your main beam you will dazzle them eny way with it on, but if your on about dipped then just put your ajusters onto there highest setting (should be next to the light dial with numbers 1-4 on if its a ford)
when i say highest setting i mean number 4 witch puts them on the lowest beam
bright spark all uk cars headlamps are set at a slight angle for driving on the laft hand side of the road, which slightly directs away from oncoming traffic so as not to dazzle . france however uses the right hand side of the road so the headlamp aim needs to be adjusted so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic.
