hi,
i really need some help, my girlfriends exhaust on her corsa 1 liter 3 cylinder, is knocking i have changed all the bobbins and it has made no difference!! it seems the whole exhaust system moves backwards when warm! strange i know!! but very annoying so please please HELP!!
i also have another problem with the same car i had a problem with it pulling away from a standing start and also lack of power when driving (missing) i have already changed the air flow sensor which made a slight difference for a while but now it seems we are back to square one!! so please please HELP!!!

As for your exhaust moving backwards, it sounds as if there could be an engine mount going soft. As for your other problem, check if there is an air leak in the inlet manifold side of things or on the rubber bellows between the air flow sensor and the injection unit. Also I would clean out the throttle pot as the flap sometimes gets carbon all round the edges.
WHEN YOU CHANGE gthe mass air flow meter you need to make sure that there are no fault codes still logged on the ecu. the exhaust knocking/banging could be the catalytic convertor breaking up or as dougie saya maybe an engine/gearbox mounting on the go.
