driving along went to change gear found clutch pedal stuck to the floor pulled it up now no life in clutch pedal wont go into gear what the problem as clutch was fine and no signs of going

Not sure wether it is a hydraulic or cable clutch, if its cable then chances are it has snapped. I think it is hydraulic therefore the system is void of fluid and the fault could be (1) a leak on the system (2) worn seal in the master or slave cylinder. Hope that helps. Puss

Add to that if it is hydraulic top the system up get a mate to help you and bleed the system at the slave cylinder till you get your clutch back. If the system does not respond then the fault lies at the seals in the slave or master cylinder. Puss

Fill the master cylinder container with the correct fluid (handbook?) get your mate to pump the clutch pedal up and down maybe at least 8 to 10 times initially, go to the slave cylinder on the side off the gearbox you will see a bleed nipple (8 or 10 mill spanner size) while your mate holds the pedal down after pumping, open the bleed nipple with a tube pushed on leading into a container (to save a mess on the floor) you will find part air and part fluid coming out. Close the nipple get your mate to the same pumping action again. Keep repeating the procedure till eventually you will get pure fluid with no air coming out, but do not forget to keep your eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder contaainer. Good luck Puss
