Need quick advice - whats a good cheap mp3/mp4 player?

I have looked on all the review websites etc and amazon etc, bit confused. Just need small, lightweight, doesn't have to be a mp4. Preferably 2 GB. Any ideas? TIA

Argos have lots but it depends on how big you want your display. Have a look on there and see if you can find a review for ones you like the look of on pricerunner.co.uk or something like that.

I got an excellent one from Argos, made by Acoustic Solutions and was about �30. It's lovely and small, but with a good display, and it's so easy to use. Much better than the Ipod I had (and sold!!)

I bought one of the hong kong ones (he didnt say he was from hong kong at the time) and to be honest.......it's ******** brilliant. It was crap at first until I discovered this website........http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/34 9770

Most of them are hacked/fake memory. This hacking will cause the problems he outlines. If you format, you will find much less memory. Probably about 2gb for a 4gb player. That plays movies on a 2" screen. With radio, voice memo, GOOD mp3 playback, folders, photobook, USB pen drive, speaker, changeable battery, earphones. For about �12. DELIVERED FROM HONG KONG. �12 is the price of many earphones.
I know the �200 160GB Ipods look nice. But the earlier ones DID have a ton of battery/screen problems.
I'm very happy with the hong kong one I got off ebay now that I formatted it.

I bought my husband a Creative Zen MP3 player from Play.com last Christmas. Our youngest daughter & granddaughter have the same model & they're all really pleased with them.
