i have a k reg rover that keeps over heating i have replaced thermastat and pump ive flushed it out iam not leakink water but iam loosing it at the header tank it like back presure does any one no what the problem could be.

sounds like the head gasket has gone between the cylinder head and the water jacket.

which over pressurises the water system (back pressure) ..Doh!
This is common on the 1.4 Rover engine where the whole caboodle is held together with long bolts.
head gasket is gubbed. common problem for years on the rover k series engines.
