Ive just bought a new car

obviously the log book isnt in my name yet but the car is insured and mot

can i tax it with my cover note and mot?

were you given the v5c slip when you bought it,if not i dont think you can tax it without it.

Logbook - V5C slip is a reference to the tear off ''new keeper'' part of the logbook.

So long as you have this it won't be an issue - the Post Office will send the logbook to the DVLA for you if you haven't already done so.
