i had left masking tape covering crome fittings for quite a while, and when i eventually took it off the sticky part was still left. I dont want to scratch or 'brillo pad' it off as i dont want to damage the crome. Any handy tips/natural remedies anyone?

flf - Try one of those soft plastic mesh scourers with some washing up liquid. xxx
Hi flflf, you can use paint thinners on a rag it will come off easy and with no scratch's, then put some crome cleaner after,
No home should be without a bottle of 'Sticky Stuff Remover'. Different sticky things use different adhesives, and will sometimes a solvent for one won't work on another. But the Remover, based on citrus oils, seems to work very well on all of them.
