Due to a forthcoming divorce does anybody know of a simple easy way to immobilise a Range Rover this is for someone who does not know a great deal about what goes on under the bonnet. The reason for this is that he took the car without consent she wants to snatch it back and then stop him doing it again she does not want the obvious steering wheel clamps ETC that could turn nasty a subtle way is much better to prevent him starting the car any help much appreciated.

You could try disconnecting the battery. (But on my porsche this sets an extremely deafening alarm off!)

Or speak to your dealer and see how much it would be to get a new key.
surely he will just get it toed by the aa/rac?

Find somewhere to hide it for a while.
Don't disconnect the battery, this could cause problems with the vehicles electronic systems.

What year is the RR?
Just hide it, it's the easiest way...
