i took my car to a garage to have all bushes replaced at the front of the car (wishbone and anti-roll bar) this was 8 weeks ago allthough hardly any miles covered as i havent been able to drive (knee op) and my cars front susspension feels really loose and bangs and judders when going over drains or small pot holes (i have to dodge medium/big ones) also both front tires were replaced for brand new at the garage at the same time and already both front outer edges have worn away competely. i took my car back to the garage to get it checked out and the mechanic said that its not dangerous but he also said that the main wishbone bushes (i think inner bushes) that he replaced are to soft so he quoted me for new wishbone arms i think because he didn't press them in correctly or why does he want to use complete arms this time as apposed to stronger bushes!surely this cant be right, why should i have to foot the bill for what i think is faulty workmanship!any idea what my rights are? thx

if he is any sort of decent mechanic, he would have fitted the correct bushes and fitted them correctly. if he hasn't done this then tell him to get it sorted out free of charge because it's his failing.
i am assuming you didn't give him the bushes to fit?
is he a proper garage? if he is the trading std bods would take a dim view of dangerous repairs being done.as if the tyres are new and are wearing already the car must be dangerous to drive as the tyres are not in their optimum position.
if you are a girl take your b/f, hubby or a bloke you know to be able to hard nose it with him.
