If its to fix an old banger long enough to see out its mot & costs 6 or 7 quid a bottle it might be worth a try? after all Radweld is a similar concept & does the job most times.
I used to use a product called "Wondaweld" on an old Ford V4, it'd last about 8 months and then go again.
There's an oil additive that you used to be able to get to stop leaks, it might be worthwhile attacking the problem from the other side.
Personally I'd patch it up and part-ex it for something else.
