Austin Mini ignition barrel removal
How can I take off a mini ignition barrel? It seems to be fitted by two bolt in studs with nothing to turn them!

they had a thin shaft section below the head which , when tightened up enough , snapped off. this left the bolt and shank in place and it has to be drilled or hacksawed.
look closly at the top of the bolt and you should see where the head has snapped off.
if there is room and there is a gap between to two halfs of the barrel clamp, it is best to saw through and the bolt will come out fairly easily.
if you have to drill, make sure you get it dead center.use a center punch accurately.
good luck.
