drivng with car lights on

mr g always drives in the day with his dipped headlights on, even in brilliant sunshine, when i ask why he says so other drivers can see him, if they cant see the bloody great car he drives coming up behind them then they shouldnt be on the road! do any others do this and why?

Er no. I only put them on when its raining and there are dark clouds.

Are you sure he doesn't drive a Volvo and they are alawyas on?

If not tell Mr G he is a fool.

Some may interpret his lights as a flash and pull out and he just looks silly.

Also, although very marginally, he is actually using more fuel as the lights will be drawing from the engine power and not the battery when it is running.

And have I said he loks silly?

I driv_e a dark green car I have been hit three times in two years , none my fault I might add, I am going to get orange motorway lights for the roof when it comes out of the shop next week. lol.

It has been Federal law since 1990 that all cars manufactured in, or imported to, Canada must have the headlights turn on (low power) once the car is started and placed in gear. Now it's the old cars with no lights on that we notice!:)

I can understand it for Canada and Norway/Sweden(Volvos) because it is dark for most the year up north and you recive icy weather but the UK????

he quite often gets cars flash at him to alert him that he has the lights on
