My car has broken down, the battery is fully charged but it will not start. We have tried bump starting and jumping the car. Any suggestions?

Seems to me that your starter motor has gone.
The starter might be OK if it won't even start with a bump start.

As your keeping your car details secret it's very hard to suggest anything else.
electrical or fuel problem , all cars need a spark and a fuel to burn to kick it into life bumping or starting with the starter motor ......

Just to add , a lot of modern cars with electronic fuel injection are very prone to flooding IF you move the car from the drive and park it up on the road outside your house for example you may have trouble starting it due to there being too much fuel injected into it , if that does happen and your car does not start put your foot right down to the floor on the accelerator and hold it there, (do not be tempted to pump it!) turn the car over until it begins to burn off the fuel and begin to start .
it could be your distributor cap had that with mine a few yaers ago or starter motor
