Escape to the Country Welsh Family
2 Answers
Did anyone see the episode of Escape To The Counrty a few weeks ago with the Welsh family. They had what can only be descibed as a GAWDY American looking house, with way over the top fittings and fixtures. The decor was so retina burning it was almost unreal, made both my girlfriend and I want to vomit. When they were looking at the homes on offer the boy turned round and stated "They must have tatse, they've got chairs like ours." How spoilt bratish is that. They wanted somewhere that he could ride his Quad bike, sand buggy etc. I'm not the jealous type but that lad does not know the meaning if hard work for money. It seemed as though if he wanted something, he got it with no questions asked. They were looking at a beautiful house, the location i can't remember, with a fantastic, picturesque garden. The wife turns to the husband and says "It would be hard work to keep the garden like this so we will have to ASTRO TURF it." What the hell is her problem. Why look at somewhere in the COUNTRY to ruin it with astro turf. Not to mention she looked like a Brit Abroad. Do these people really think they have a clue about living in the country if they are willing to reek havoc on a beautiful house and garden with horrible American style gawdy decor and astro turf, it begger belief. What are your thoughts??
P.S I am by no means Anti Welsh, It just so happened that the family in question were Welsh.

PS... they were househunting in Devon and didn't you think their exisiting garden looked like the big brother garden???
