Peugeot 206 rado code & error 3

Just bought a 2000 w reg 206 the radio/cassette wouldn't work so we tried to input the code with the code given by the seller but one of the numbers is 9 and the digits are 1 to 6 and now the display is shwing Error 3- we don't have an instruction book for the radio its a Blaunkpuut, all help appreciated.

I don't know what error 3 is. It might mean that you tried too many attempts to enter the code, causing the radio to 'lock up'. When this happens, some radios 'auto clear' the error code after a fixed period of time (anywhere from 3 hours to a couple of days). Others can't be cleared without sending the radio back to the manufacture (but try simply disconnecting the battery, and reconnecting it, first)

Assuming that you can get back to the position where you can enter the code, here's how to do it. I'll use the code 4968 for my example:
Press button 1, 4 times
Press button 2, 9 times
Press button 3, 6 times
Press button 4, 8 times
Press button 6.

Thank you Chris- I knew there was a way to go up to 9 but its that long since I've had this type of stereo I couldn't remember. Cheers
