2000 Audi A6 2.8 quattro is it reliable?

I am looking at purchasing a Audi a6 2.8 quattro for $6,499 it looks like a decent car but i really want something that is reliable. I understand parts would be more expensive for this vehicle. Anybody have any idea if this is a good vehicle? Not sure what the mileage is yet

The last car I owned when I lived in England was a 1996 Audi A4 quattro , 2.6 v6. It was 4 years old when I bought it. I owned it for 5 years and only suffered one problem, which was found to be a faulty relay. The 4wd system was amazing and faultless.
It was by far the best vehicle I have ever owned, and had covered 100,000 miles when I sold it to move to Spain.
The only regret I have from my ownership is that I didn�t bring it with me here!
Have it checked by someone who knows what they are doing, and go for it.
