I want to make a film set in the late 60s, and want it to be a kind if "Road Movie". I will need to borrow a car for this purpose, but have no idea what type to look for! What car would you look at and instantly say it was a nice naff 60s car? 70s is so much easier- Ford Escorts etc. Thanks!

Bad guys in films and TV always drove Mk 2 Jags cool guys drove E-types (think Austin Powers)

More common cars were Hillmans, Humbers, Austins (Cambridge and A40s) Vauxhalls (Victor, Viva, Cresta) Fords (Cortina Mk 1 and 2) Triumph Herald.

I'd choose the ones I wanted and make a shortlist then contact the owners' clubs to see if there were any enthusiasts with my ideal cars nearby and if they'd like to make a film. Should be quite easy with the internet.
Don`t forget the Ford Zephyr and Consul.
