Child car seats

Hi all.
I'm looking at purchasing a car seat for my 18 month old son. However, I don't have my own car as my job requires me to use different hire cars on a very frequent basis. I only have the car for at most a week, then I drop it and pick up another some time after. Is there a child seat on the market which is simple to fit and remove, without the need to have a professional fit it ?

you shouldnt need a prefessional to fit it once youve bought a seat. Parents should always be able to remove and check the fitting of a seat at any time.

You will be better trying to get an idea of the type of cars you will drive though and then check that the seat you buy will fit all. Dont buy an isofix unless you can fit it using belts as an alternative too.

i use a maxi cosi priori XP which fits fine into a vectra, ford c-max, mercedes and a range rover.

i think maxi-cosi have a site where you can check fittings, will go and have a look.

as you hire a lot of cars,i would think a isofix car seat would be your best option as nearly all new cars nowadays have isofix fittings in them,and if they dont you can allways use the belt.

not all new cars with leather interiors have the isofix enabled.

norman, i wasnt saying that to prove you wrong or anything (id already said the same as you about the seatbelt option), just to point out to alb that a new focus with fabric interior may have isofix and the same age and model with leather may have it but not useable.
