wheel bearings on a vauxhall astra

can anyone tell me how i find the wheel bearings on my car and how do i know if they've failed on me? my car is a vauxhall astra 1.6 sxi 16v, its a T reg 1999. thanks. the reason being is their seems to be a humming noise coming from the rear end????

the cheapest and easiest way is to take it to a garage,get then to road test the car and tell you which wheel is giving you the problem,then they can quote you for the work,but a humming noise coming from the back does not mean its your bearings it could be other things.

lol does that mean ur not gonna tell me wat to do? lol i cant afford to take it to a garage at the moment
As you do not even know where your wheel bearings are the advice above is the best anyone could give you.
if you take to a local independent garage and ask nicely they will probably look at it and tell you if it is wheel bearings or not for free, will only take couple of minutes.

As already said if you don't know where to find the wheel bearings (there's a clue in the name BTW!) then I wouldn't suggest even thinking about doing the work yourself, don't know about astra's specificly but wheel bearings are often tricky to change and will quite often need specalised tools to do it.
