i am 24 and have been driving for just under 6 years, i have just been caught speeding and told i will get taken to court for it, when i told my boss even though it is only upto a 6 week ban and a fine he told me i would have to re apply for my HGV licence again. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Cheers Craig

You do have to apply for your licence again but you won't need to re-sit a test unless the court orders you to.
I don't know if there are special rules for an HGV, but the link that wineoh supplies suggests that for a short disqualification you don't need to re-apply for your licence.
