i have listened to capital for years and years but found that i have gone off it lately, too much talking ,sh*t dj's ,and the same music being played over and over again (usually the top 20) ,i have tried Heart fm but after a while all the heartbreak tunes they play made me want to slit my wrists , then i tried Magic as it has neil fox on in the mornings ,but that too turned out rubbish . i don't ask for much, dj's who are funny and interesting but don't rabbit on too much and play a mixture of new and old tunes, frequent time checks and local traffic reports ( london ) ,so i can tell if i am running late for work or need to leave extra early as there is congestion on the westway ,any suggestions gratefully received
www.bigl.co.uk It's the best alternative to Radio 2 and has ex-Radio 1 DJs Mike Read, David Hamilton, Adrian John, Ed Stewart, etc, Best of all, it has no playlist at all, so they play the broadest range of popular music imaginable. Unbeatable.
The only radio station I ever listen to these days is Capital Life on DAB as it has no DJ's whatsoever and the only chat is the news every hour,no adverts either, they play a reasonable selection of old and new tunes too.
