If this or any Goverment had the sense would they increase the Tax on something that effects the ecconomy of the country whilst they let in HGVs, Cars, Vans, Buses from abroad free of charge. T.W.R.
because the government are so ****** greedy they constantly target decent working folk who happen to choose to buy themselves a car whether diesel or petrol, but panic button is correct the demand for diesel is huge and therefore the fuel companys and the slack a r s e govt can then charge through the nose for it.
Apparently it is nothing to do with production, it is to do with tax. I'm not sure of the exact details but it is something to do with diesel giving more performance per litre, and tax being based on the performance per litre therefore diesel is cheaper.
Sorry I can't give a better answer, I got that from the motoring section of yesterday's Sunday Times, if anyone still has this maybe they could post a more accurate account of what I'm trying to say!
