PT cruiser problem

Recently bought a PT cruiser - still under warranty, so this is the garages problem. At low speeds there is a whipsering whoosh whoosh noise from front wheels (worse on offside) that gets worse on turning left. On the motorway yesterday loud thumping from both wheels after going over bumpy road - or when changing lane at over 60 mph.
Any ideas

Have the front N/S + OFF/S UJs checked also the shocks, if you go to the front of the car have a look under it check if the shocks are clear of oil on its body, If oil, shocks are U/S
this could also be Bottom Ball joints, If they car is still under warrantee let them sort it.
