rover 25 immobiliser problems

As title suggests, having problems with immobiliser on W reg rover 25. It won't allow engine to start, instead, it just makes a clicking noise? thanks

dont know for sure but someone suggested and all i know is that it wont start

yes battery lights etc come on on dash

it my daughters car that she doesn;t use coz she has a new one but she told me ther that she had the aa out to it about five months ago with similar problem and the guy reset immobiliser with fob and it worked,i have tried this but it still wont start ,also tried disconnecting battery to reset it but it still wont work immobiliser light will not go out and alarm goes off,

Majority of the times a car just clicks on turning the key to start the battery is too low to start the car.

The Immobiliser on Rovers usually just makes nothing happen at all if you try to start the car.
