Whats wrong with my 1997 Vectra

I have a 1.6 16 V Vectra LS (1997) and when i get to around 2700 revs it starts jerking and a few pops and cracks but it stops at 3200 revs can anyone tell me what this is please.

If the basics check out ok then it maybe sticky valves, and the only cure is to have the cylinder head removed and the valve guides reamed out,

If your model has the older ignition system it could be oil/grease build up in the distributor cap or one of the HT leads is dodgy or even a failing spark plug. You don`t state the mileage or when the car last serviced.

could be alot of things, a common problem with vectra's is the 'Camshaft Position Sensor'.
This could be the fault
