Whats the time limit to be given your speeding penalty notice by post. I know that the Police cannot send it out months or weeks after the event but not sure when legally they have to issue it by.
My Husband was driving my car on the M25 and got flashed by one of the cameras near Heathrow. It flashed twice so it did get him but we haven't had anything in the post yet and it was 11 days ago now - so wonder when we are in the clear.

It must be posted within 14 days of the offense which means it is probably still valid if you receive it on the 15th day but after that you have got away with it
he must have been lashing round the 25 to get flashed!

under 85 mph on that stretch and you are fine,

if it was set any closer than that to 70mph the paperwork would decimate another rain forest, if you do only 70 between j10 and j14 you will most likely get run off the road!

ha ha - yes he was going faster than 85.... by about another 5-10mph.... naughty naughty!!!
We were off on our hols... and it wasn't a good start to the trip I can tell you! I chewed his ear off all the way to Gatwick!
its 14 days as above, but they dont count the day of the offence, so the 14 day clock would start ticking the day after you were flashed
This happened to me too, I'm pretty sure I was laser gunned by one of those Think! vans on my way back home from Uni. I never heard anything, usually these things don't even have film inthem or aren't working properly. I reckon you're in the clear!
As above it is 14 days, with the alledged offence day 0.

It must be posted 1st class. It is allowed to be longer if you are not the RK of the vehicle eg if its a company car or a leased vehicle or if you have moved recently and the DVLA dont have your current address, or if you have purchased the vehicle and the new owner hasn't been registered yet
Are you sure it's 14 days?

I'm sure someone posted on here previously that it could be up to 6 months
6 months from the alledged offence to lay information for a court summons.
Just to be pedantic the Notice of Intended Prosecution has to be posted to the registered keeper so as to arrive in normal circumstances within 14 days of the alleged offence (not counting the day of the offence).

If it arrives after this time it is not invalid, but the keeper can challenge the matter in court if he seeks to have it struck out.
