electric wing mirror noisy

I have a Ford Fiest Ghia and just this last couple of days the left hand electric wing mirror makes a noise when using the remote locking key. It folds away ok but the motor carries on running for a few seconds after.

Has anyone any idea what can be the cause please.

I took car into Ford dealer and my car is still under warranty, so they are fixing a new wing mirror.
