I have points on my licence which have had considerable effect on my insurance premium over the last three years. This month I renewed my policy for 12 months on a monthly stop order from my bank. In November when my four year sentence has been served will I be able to suspend this policy and renew the balance of the year on my new points status.? How are points deducted and cleared from ones licence counterfoil ?
most insurance companies ask you about convictions in the last 5 years, not just ones you have this moment, so it wouldnt make any difference whatsoever, because you would still have to declare you got them less than 5 years ago
when its time for the points to come off, you just send your lisesne in and they take them off
Thanks for that Bedknobs. It's my understanding however
that insurance quotes online, as most of them are, request
current licence endorsements. Not so ?
no, i just went to "go compare" and one of the q's is this = Any motoring convictions (including fixed penalty endorsements or anything pending) in the last 5 years
