windows on galaxy
1 Answers
hi,
Windows on my galaxy have gone crazy( electric).
the drivers 4 controls will open the passesnger and the 2 rear windows, will not open drivers, will not shut passengers, will sometimes close rear windows, but very jerky, closes an inch or two, stops for 20 seconds, does a bit more etc.if I put the key in the door lock and hold it closed, all the windows close smoothly.
if I put the key in door lock on open and hold it, they open( not the drivers)
obviously a computer fault? any ideas?
thanks
doris.

The logic behind this conclusion is that the windows behave when operated via the door locks, but not via the driver controls. Of course the fault could be elsewhere (e.g. at the other end of the wiring loom, connecting the driver controls), but this is a good place to start.
I am not familiar with the location of these controls/switches in a Galaxy, sometimes it can be a nightmare to access the switch rear, requiring extensive trim removal. This is where the Haynes manual for your car, earns its purchase price.
