Why on earth should it annoy you when people are seeking information about the penalties for something they're going to be in court for.

I'm pretty certsain if you were charged with tax evasion or something like that the first question you'd be asking is what the penalty was!

You should know the penalty before you do it .It's a bit too late asking what do you get after you have done it. Theres a big difference in driving at 66 as to 30 so why do it in the first place.

Anyway, i am firmly on the fence - the question was " any advice" and "what do you think the penalty will be" which in my opinion calls for both factual and opinion answers
