I lock the doors when i am driving in the nighttime, next week we are open til midnight 2 nights and i will be driving home between then and 1am and i am not looking forward to it!
Hi sara , car owners always lock their cars in this area , there are too many car thefts and break-ins . You also have to make sure they're locked at traffic lights too .
Hello Lakitu , haven't seen you to speak to for a while hun .

so, do you think if (god forbid) you had a terrible accident, the fact that your door is unlocked will get you out quicker? I assumed that doors may jam, and I wouldn't mind if a fireman/policeman/passer-by smashed the window in the circumstances..
Mine lock automatically which was a bit disconcerting to start with. now I dont even notice it though i am glad it does cause I am not sure that my reactions would be fast enough if it was needed.
It does make you wonder though whether we are all a bit too paranoid.
I don't lock my door while driving for that reason, however, I was in a car accident last summer, the damage to my car was full frontal.
I passed out for no more than 10 second, when I came round I was really confused, wondering what the smell was (air bag I found out) and I couldn't get out of the car because the wings had shunted up and blocked my exit on both sides. I put down the window and slithered out that way. What a sight I must have been! LOL
I don't drive but often used to lock all the doors if we were parked somewhere and I was in the car on my own like in a service station car park.
There are a lot of people round here who come out on main roads near traffic lights to wash your windows to try and get money so would always lock doors and shut windows then just in case.
