Any one who knows about TDI Auomatic

I have V W Sharan TDI with automatic transmission. Its 2002 model and has been very reliable since I bought about five years ago. Now I noticed a couple of time that if I am on about 40mph and want to go a bit faster to overtake then seems like that my acceleration is doing nothing. Sometimes its OK.

Could it be a developing fault with gear box or is it something like clutch in manual that needs changing.

There is no clutch , but the transmission fluid does the work on an auto, is it at the correct level, has it been changed. Autos need sticking to servicing schedulaes, more than manuals do

I have got the vehicle serviced always on time and from main V W dealer. Next service is due in couple of weeks time so perhaps I would ask them to check.
