can a car fail its MOT because of wheel alignment?

My car failed its MOT because of a couple of suspension parts. I can tell from driving the car that it now needs to have the tracking done. Can my car fail its retest if I don't get it done first?

If the tyres are showing un-even wear on the walls, It can be a fail but more often depending on the wear you will be given a note.
