hi does any1 know what a remap is and the gains and problems if any with it thanks

hi dee2912 a remap means having the fuel injection chips in the ecu changed or alterd. it depends on what you want but it is usually done to ( a ) get more performance out of the engine by raising the bhp this is usually to the detrement of the mpg, or ( b ) to raise the mpg to this usually affects aceleration.

basically you are reprogramming the ecu with different software to either increase bhp or increase mpg, beware though, this will invalidate any warranty on any car.
