My vauxhall astra diesel's engine light comes on after the car has been driving, it judders and then seems to lose power as the lightcomes on. i have just had a new battery fitted yesterday does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with it?

possibly your cylinder or more than one gone. if it were that they are mighty expensive to replace but if you know an engineer that can hook you up to a comp to get a full readying of whats wrong it is possible to reprogram a cylinder. my dads went on his mondeo and 4 cylinders ws going to cost him near �2000 but his mate was able to get it reprogrammed for him. luckily.
