How do I input the security code into my Audi Gamma radio?

On my peugeot to put in the code (theoretically 2314) you can't press 2, 3, 1 then 4, you have to press 11 222 3 4444.

Can't think of an easy way to explain this, but you have to press the number that corresponds to the place of the number in the 4 digit code (ie 2 in my code would be 1 (1st place), 3 would be 2 (second place) etc) to the effect of the number (eg press 1 twice, then 2 three times)
