Zetec timing belts on older models are recommended to be changed at 100k or 10 years - my wife's newer model 2005 recommends changing at 8 years or 80000 miles

My local garage say they are long lasting - it is up to you to decide but in most cases they only need changing once in a cars lifetime - pretty good compared to older engines
As it's a diesel it probably has a chain- not a belt. In which case it won't need changing.

Someone will perhaps cofirm this.
it is a belt in your car, they say you should change them at 60-70k thats when we do it (i work for a car dealer) if you dont change it your engine could seize if the belt snaps.
hope this helps.
Hi, If you have money to burn let the mileage run it's course, or if you want the car to last without problems get it done NOW + Tensioners. they advertise soap powder on the side of Buses dont I dont do my washing there!!!
