Here's an idea for those people who are so bloody scared, feeble, pathetic and don't have the confidence do drive in these conditions.

DON'T.

I usually walk to work, but this morning I am off to the dentist, which is a drive away, so have had to bring my car to work. It has taken me half an hour. It usually takes me 15 minutes to walk!

All the main roads in my town are absolutely fine, and yet these clueless monkeys still drive as though they are on an ice rink.

Sorry, not a question - just bloody annoyed and frustrated.

I can only speak for my town, but when I left home this morning the temperature was reading 4, and is now 8. Now, I don't profess to be a scientist, but if memeory serves, frezzing point is 0. Soooooooo, given it must've been above freezing for some time, does it not follow that ice would've thawed???

As I say, I can only speak for my town, but the roads this morning were wet. Not frozen.
the temp may read 8 in your car but take care on bends/roundabouts etc where the sun hasn't reached you may hit black ice. I hit black ice this morning, the roads were clear sun shining, thank goodness I have a good 4x4 lock kicked in and I didn't skid though looking in rear window a little car that had been up my rear for some time was slipping all over the road. Then coming home in same place saw a beamer in the ditch.
