Hi, ive posted a couple of questions about my car revving really high. I went to the scrap yard yesterday and they said that the idle valve had gone (due to when i start it up, it revs to the max without me even putting my foot down on the accelerator), so i changed the fuel injection system (where the idle valve is situated), which i got from the scrapyard for 25.00, and I still have a problem. When i now start the car up, the engine revs, then just cuts out. I have a Vauxhall Corsa 1998 1.2 breeze 8v. i know that the seal inbetween the manifold and the fuel injection system is a bit worn, but i wouldn't have thought this would be causing the problem, does anyone else have any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Thanks

Pete

I would personally put it back the way it was before, then have an electrical diagnostic test done, the problem could be a sensor or a sensor connection
