i have replaced the original stereo in my peugeot 206 with a blaupunkt ut it only works with the ignition switched on and the stalk remote doesnt work. any ideas

Did you connct it straight to the exsisting car electrics? If not you will need the ISO converstion leads. All new stereos are wired up the same way but 99% of cars change thier electric connectors (ISO) by 1 or 2 wires, so that although the unit switches on it wont always work. As regards to the stalk not working you will have to get the correct ISO connectors to enable the stalks function to interact with your head unit. My best advice would be look on ebay, they are not that expensive, just type in Peugeot Stereo connectors. Hope this helps. The other thing is go to Halfords they stock them!
