Which sites do you use to get auto insurance quotes online? Is it safe to leave personal information on this sites? Question for US residents.

There are tons of such sites! Most of them work through some gateway like insurme. You can use this one: http://www.focus-insurance.info/
No one can tell you whether it's safe to leave your information in Internet. I've got 5 quotes from mentioned site for my old SUV with some reasonable rates.

There is no difference beetween such sites as told before, most of them have even same design, cause made to work with only one or two gateway providers like surehits or insureme. E.g. http://armxray.com/ or http://www.charlesbland.com/

insureme uses https secure connection and do not bother you with phone calls. I've got quotes there. there is no difference which site to use. choose any of the sites above.

I prefer to call directly to company. Takes a bit more time, but you do not post your info online.
