T-Pain Concert - Last night at the IndigO2 (part 2)
It was very much stop start, no chance to really enjoy the event. He got the crowd going and then just stopped mid way through a song and he did this repeatedly. The crowd was jumping at the beginning, but no-one was moving towards the end.
During his whole set he sang about 3 songs all the way through, he sang other songs, but these were only done for a max of 30 seconds. To me, I felt the whole performace was rushed, trying to cram as many songs in but not actually singing the whole song.
The guy has an amazing voice, but there were numerous occasions when he was either miming, or his music was dictating the song he was singing.
I have never been to one of his shows, but I thought it was all rather strange. There was this guy on the stage the whole time, he was in face paint. The way the show opened merited this guy being on stage, but it was odd him being on there the whole time. Very strange.
All in all, I feel thoroughly let down, I have waited months for this gig. Concerts I have been to before, I have not wanted to end, I always left wanting more. Last night I couldn't say the same. I will still listen to his music and buy his albums, but will not be going to another one of his concerts and as a fan feeling this way cannot be good.
I am back at the same venue next week to see Musiq Soulchild, admittedly, I have seen him before, but I am already looking forward to seeing him, and I know he will not be a let down.
