The interior light keeps coming on randomly whilst driving in my Volkswagen Bora, has also just come on when the car was parked. Does anyone know if this is supposed to happen, is a known fault/loose connection/sensor problem.

Any help appreciated.

Sounds like a dodgy switch on the interior light or one of the switches on the door. Try pushing the door switches in and out a few times, maybe just dirt. Difficult to say really without seeing it.

Thanks for the advice, will have a look at the door switches and see if that helps.
Trying spraying the door switches with WD 40, they may be sticking.
Hi I have had problems with the control unit for interior lights alarm door locks windows, and petrol release flap.
The control unit on my passat is in front of the passenger seat under the carpet, I found a corroded connection.
If it is a similar unit on your bora, it is called a convienence control unit
