programme ford 3 button key how????

i have just bought a replacement 3 button fob key for my 2001 mk3 mondeo and need to know how to programme it to unlock and lock all doors and boot as i can just slide it onto my existing key as the buttons on that one are really worn????

It will tell you in your handbook, but if i remember right, you turn the ignition on and off 5 times, then press the lock button, this will sync it to your central locking.
