Just had the same issue with a 2006 dci120 changed fuel pump, solenoid, injectors, fuel tank off and cleaned etc... No diagnostic including main dealer Renault found a fault so according to them nothing was wrong. The problem showed up as a complete cut out of the engine when the engine was pulling hard between 1500 and 2000 rpm and at high speed pulling hard, the thing just cut out but if you turned the key back one turn then back to run it would burst back into life.
Our mechanic decided to change the brain over from our other older van which provided a fault code for low pressure in the common rail. Chaged the rail Job done, runs very well now. Renault waste of space, buy a Mercedes would be my advice.
