Hi all,

I don't really know where to place this question but here goes anyway.
I want to transport a 3 piece suite from north kent to county durham.
Anyone know how much this will cost me please??
Also can anyone tell me who i would need to contact.

Smaller courier companies usually charge for distance travelled. There is a high premium for same day delivery but if you are williing to wait it may cost less as other deliveries may be made to that region. A 3 piece suite would take a fair amount of room so you are talking about a larger vehicle than a small van.
As you are talking about a 300-400 mile trip each way a single delivery would cost about �300 but shop around in Yellow Pages.
I work for one of the largest same day couriers in the country. It is a dedicated service - so only your stuff goes into the van, and the van goes straight to your destination. We would charge per mile - and for a medium van (ie SWB transit that is 2.4m long in the back) you would be looking for 80-85p a mile for this premium service (plus VAT of course)
