HTS 1000 Power Centre - Do I need one?
1 Answers
I have just been told that everyone should have one of these by someone who says a power surge and/or unclean power supply damaged his LCD tv and other equipment. I have never heard of this and have never had any problems. Is it possible that my supply is already protected in some way by my electricity supplier? I think my computers are protected internally against power surges. Do I need to get one for the tv? I am not aware of anyone else having one. I have a trip switch where the supply comes into the house (not the highest level - installed over 20 years ago). This does activate very rarely. Is that the same thing, to trip before any damage is done?

however there are 100s of different types ... just about every shop that sells extension leads sells a surge protector version (even tesco)
and they needn't cost the earth 10 - 20 is enough ... your example looks flash ... but I'd go for max outlets rather than colour
All my kit is potected
