my girlfriend is just renewing her insurance. she got a cheaper quote from a different company so she phoned her current company and said she will not be renewing with them. so they tried to beat the quote so she told them about her 28 day ban and three points for speeding that she got 4 months before head,. they then informed her that she cannot cancel her insurance with her unless she pays �400 for not declaring it. is this correct and if so when should you declare points or a ban to your insurance company
