on my saab s.i.d screen it keeps coming up "theft alarm service" i have had my local garage try to turn it off with their fault reader but no good, do i really have to go to saab dealer as i know they will cost the earth.

the only thing that may need servicing on an alarm is the batterys, (key fob)on some vehicles, mercs in particular, its part of the service schedule.
worth a try..
